Locked is an environmental puzzle game based on the struggles of loneliness and isolation. You wake up one morning in your apartment to find that you can not leave. Even after you manage to unlock the door, you can't enter the real world. You're still trapped within your own mind until you can set things right.
The process of making this game began with scripting controls for the player that allows them to look and walk around their environment. From there the majority of my time was spent modelling the different environments of the game and planning some puzzles. I did have to scale back the project because of the time available to program different types of puzzles. The most fun I had working on this project was working on the environmental lighting and materials so that I could get the feeling that I wanted to get across.
